Meet Nathan Mackey, founder of Lytt Designs
I'm Nathan, and I run Lytt Designs out of Lodi, CA. I build custom LED signs, metal signs, and lighting design pieces for businesses and individuals who want something that doesn't look like everything else on the block.
Most of my work is bold, illuminated, and built by hand. I handle the design and the fabrication myself, so when you talk to me about a custom LED channel letter or a laser-cut steel sign, you're talking to the person who will actually build it.
The story behind Lytt Designs
Lytt Designs exists to do one thing well: build bold, handcrafted LED signs and lighting that make brands and spaces impossible to ignore. We are a Lodi, CA shop with a simple goal, and that goal is to revolutionize how LED lighting is seen and used in the places people live, work, and shop.
Most signs look like they came off a catalog. We would rather start from your building, your brand, and the street it sits on, then design something that earns a second look after dark. Every piece is shaped by hand and built in our own shop, so the lettering, the glow, and the metal edges are ours to get right instead of left to a production line.

Why the work is handcrafted
Custom LED channel letters, backlit sign letters, and steel laser-cut signs all depend on details that show up in daylight and at night. Spacing, edge finish, and how light sits on a face are decided during fabrication, not in a template. Building in-house lets us adjust a piece until it reads the way it should on your wall.
Lighting and metal, built as one
Our illuminated metal signs and LED lighting design work come from the same bench. The metal frames the light, and the light gives the metal its presence. Whether the project is a storefront in Lodi or a statement piece for a space across California, the aim is the same: a sign that looks deliberate, lasts, and does its job.
